Gale steadied himself against the rock wall of the well though for the most part he was not as unsteady as he had been. By his calculations, he was mainly good for at least another hour as this seemed to happen by an hourly rate.

Picking up the silver dipper, he slid it into the water pail and brought it to his lips to take a surreptitious sip though he did glance over at Kaori as he did so. Once he placed it back in the bucket, he kept the pail there in case Kaori wanted any water.
